Fannie Mae Delivery Calendars Belong Beside the Legal Checklist
Fannie Mae's delivery and certification resources are a reminder that closing control continues after signatures.
Fannie Mae's multifamily delivery resources point deal teams to the 2026 Delivery and Certification Calendar, delivery FAQs, DUS DocWay resources, and MSFMS materials. Fannie Mae's C&D page also describes C&D as handling Cash and MBS committing and delivery functions for DUS and MFlex loans.
For borrower-side closing counsel, the point is practical. Funding is not the only deadline that matters. A closing file should also track what must be delivered after execution, which documents need certification support, and who owns the final package after the borrower and guarantors have signed.
The legal team should build delivery expectations into the closing calendar early. That includes final executed loan documents, title policy status, entity and authority materials, opinion assumptions, UCC or recording evidence, insurance evidence, and any program-specific post-closing items.
A good DUS file should leave closing with a clean handoff: what was signed, what remains open, who owns each item, and when the lender or servicer expects final delivery. This note is informational only and is not legal advice for any specific transaction.
